Foundation in Focus

 The Foundation for Excellence is a 503c charitable organization. That means the Foundation receives its funds through the generous gifts of individuals and businesses.

When staff members participate in the handy payroll deduction plan, $2.02 for 202, they are contributing to a worthwhile charity.

When a ticket is purchased for the April 17 Dinner/Auction/Dance, a portion of that ticket price is a charitable donation.

When sponsors willingly volunteer to support the June 14 5K Big Cat Pride Run/Walk they are giving back to the community through charitable donations.

We at the Foundation understand that in the current economic climate, donations and charitable giving often move a bit farther down on the list of many people’s priorities.

Therefore we appreciate and celebrate the steadfastness of those who contributed to the work of the Foundation in the past. We salute and thank those who support the Foundation in the present. We are grateful for contributions to the Foundation even in these difficult times.

The goal and mission of the Foundation has remained constant over the past quarter century. The Foundation promotes excellence and achievement for learners, encourages innovation in teaching and learning and enhances collaboration with the community. Funds donated to the Foundation make a difference for our students, our schools and our community.

It is an honor and a privilege to provide resources for projects that enrich, enhance and extend learning. The dollars raised are dollars spent right here in District 202 for grants, scholarships and special programs.

The Foundation for Excellence joyfully celebrates its 25 th anniversary and looks forward to making significant contributions to quality education in District 202 during the next 25 years.
