The Plainfield School District Foundation for Excellence is pleased to announce that Mr. George Capps, Retired Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, is the 2005 Walter G. and Juanita F. Niehus Award recipient.
Mr. Karl Smith submitted the nomination that was signed by approximately 75 teachers. On the nomination form Karl outlined the attributes that make George Capps so special.

The Foundation for Excellence is most pleased to add George Capps’ name to a truly outstanding list of previous Niehus award winners. Mr. Capps is the twentieth recipient of the Niehus Award, which has annually been presented since 1986. The Niehus Award is bestowed in honor of Walter G. Niehus, former Superintendent of District 202.
