"This is a great cultural event," said Physical Education Teacher Bridget Taylor. "There are not many opportunities in Plainfield to experience dance as an art form, so this performance will prove to entertain as well as educate."

The theme this year is "Imagine." Various styles of dance will be featured including hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, modern, Latin, Indian, among others.  There will also be a short slide show dedicated to the graduating senior dancers.  However, sophomore and junior dances will also be highlighted in addition to several dances choreographed and performed by students that were selected from an audition process.  

The public is invited and the cost is $4 payable at the door.  

 

This year the department is hoping to raise enough money to purchase portable mirrors for dance classes. Research shows dancing with the use of mirrors promotes learning, retention, and accuracy.
