District 202 holds 2005-2006 Kindergarten Registration
Current District 202 residents who will have students entering kindergarten in the 2005-2006 school year should register their students on February 28, March 1 or March 3. To accommodate the busy schedules of parents/legal guardians, students can be registered at any District 202 elementary school regardless of where they will attend school in the fall.
Registration Schedule
Registration will take place at the following locations between the hours of 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. according to this schedule:
- February 28: Crystal Lawns, Eagle Pointe, Grand Prairie
- March 1: Creekside, Lakewood Falls, Meadow View, Ridge, Walker’s Grove, Wesmere
- March 3: Central, Lincoln, River View
Students who will attend Liberty are encouraged to register at Creekside. Students who will attend Charles Reed are encouraged to register at Meadow View. However, if these dates are not convenient, they can be registered at any elementary campus.
What Should I Bring With Me?
- $30 for kindergarten fees. Checks should be made out to Plainfield School District 202.
- Original certified birth certificate. This needs to be the official certificate issued by the county, not the commemorative certificate issued by the hospital. It also needs to be the original, not a copy.
- Three documents to prove residency within the school district boundaries. All registrations require these documents, even if siblings are already registered in the district.
- School physical examination and immunization records completed within 12 months of the start of the school year. While this is not required at the time of registration, according to Illinois law it must be on file with the school before the student starts school in the fall. Please schedule appointments early because doctor’s offices get very busy during the summer months completing physicals.
Category I - PROVIDE AT LEAST ONE OR TWO OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:
- The most recent real estate tax bill for my residence showing me as the taxpayer
- Signed lease for my residence
- A closing statement for the purchase of my residence
- Truth in Lending form from closing packet
- Warranty Deed from closing packet
- Completed Student Residency Questionnaire and notarized affidavit (owner’s proof of residency within District boundaries is required)
Category II - PROVIDE AT LEAST ONE OR TWO OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:
- Driver’s license
- Library card
- Gas or electric bill
- Public Aid card
- Voter registration card
- Home/apartment insurance certificate
- Automobile registration
- Other (please specify) ______________________________
