Dr. Lawrence Rainey was named Principal for Liberty Elementary School (1401 Essington Road, Bolingbrook) that will open its doors for the 2005-2006 school year. Dr. Rainey has served Chicago Public Schools as a District-level Director, Principal, and Assistant Principal.

His qualifications and experience include:

• Administrator at the Camelot Therapeutic Day School in Palatine
• Special education teacher
• Adjunct Professor for Olivet Nazarene University’s School of Education
• Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University
• Master’s Degree in Education from Illinois State University
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Illinois State University
• Completed coursework toward a second Doctorate in Curriculum and Supervision from Northern Illinois University
• Completed coursework toward an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.
