Ms. Janan Szurek was named Principal for Grand Prairie Elementary School (3300 Caton Farm Road, Plainfield). She is filling the vacancy left by the transfer of the current Principal Joan Woolwine to Charles Reed Elementary School (2110 Clublands Parkway, Plainfield) that will open its doors for the 2005-2006 school year.

Ms. Szurek has served District 202 as:

• Assistant Principal of Lincoln Elementary School
• Special Education Administrator and
• Summer School Director.

Her qualifications and experience include:

• School Social Worker for the Kendall County Special Education Cooperative
• Master’s Degree in Administration from North Central College
• Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of Illinois at Chicago
• Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from North Central College
