Plainfield Central Teachers Named Who's Who Among American High School Teachers
Plainfield High School Central Campus Teachers Mary Jo Barney and Marc Miller were recently honored by Who's Who Among American High School Teachers as teachers who have had a significant impact on a student's life. They were nominated for the honor by a former student.
Here is some background information on Mrs. Barney:
- Mary (J. Webber) Barney from Herscher, IL
- Married to David Barney of Joliet for 2 ½ years
- Teaches Business Courses at Plainfield Central High School: Business Communications, Desktop
- Publishing, Work Internship, Formatting, Keyboarding, Computer Applications
- Also is an Adjunct Professor at Olivet Nazarene University and Kankakee Community College
- Has been a men's volleyball coach here at Plainfield High School Central Campus for four years.

- Married to Nicole and they have a 1-year old daughter Ashley
- Teaches driver education teacher at Plainfield High School Central Campus
- Also coaches wrestling at PHSCC for 11 year
