Plainfield Central to host session on Joliet Junior College's ENLACE program
Plainfield High School-Central Campus will host a multicultural
presentation for minority students interested in attending Joliet Junior
College. The program, sponsored by the school's student service
department, is slated for Monday, April 24, in the school's
auditorium, and will take place during third and fourth periods.
Guest speaker Louise Blazquez will share information regarding
admission to Joliet Junior College, as well as the college's ENLACE
program and its Office of Minority Student Affairs.
The ENLACE program is a support network for Latino students interested
in earning an associate's degree before moving on to work towards a
bachelor's degree. It provides mentoring, opportunities to attend
conferences and leadership training sessions, and options to explore
internships, transfer programs, scholarships and financial aid options.
Plainfield Central, one of three high schools in Plainfield Community
Consolidated School District 202, is located at 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive
