Timber Ridge to dedicate garden to students, teacher who passed away
Timber Ridge Middle School will honor two students and a teacher who
passed away over the last year on Thursday, April 27. The "Celebration
of Life" will begin at 1:45 p.m. in the school's gymnasium, and will
honor two eighth grade students and teacher Steven Hanson.
The families of the two students and Hanson have all been invited to
attend the program, which will begin with remembrances in the form of
poems, stories and songs. Then, the ceremony will move outside, where
the families will each plant a tree on the south side of the building as
a living memory garden. White balloons will be released at the
conclusion of the event.
Timber Ridge, one of five middle schools in Plainfield Community
Consolidated School District 202, is located at 2101 Bronk Road in
Plainfield.
