District 202 graduation, promotion dates set

As school enters the final stretch for Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 students, plans have been finalized for graduation at two District 202 high schools and promotion at all five of its middle schools.

The district's "Promotion Nights" celebrate the accomplishments of eighth graders as they move on to the high school level. The schedule for those ceremonies is:

Wednesday, May 31 - Heritage Grove Middle School - 7 p.m. (at Plainfield North H.S.)
Thursday, June 1 - Drauden Point Middle School - 7 p.m. (at Plainfield South H.S.)
Thursday, June 1 - Ira Jones Middle School - 7 p.m. (at Plainfield Central H.S.)
Friday, June 2 - Indian Trail Middle School - 7 p.m. (at Plainfield Central H.S.)
Friday, June 2 - Timber Ridge Middle School - 7 p.m. (at Plainfield South H.S.)

Graduation at Plainfield High School-Central Campus has been slated for 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, at the school's football stadium; a rain date of 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, has been established. Plainfield South's graduation will take place on June 3 at 1 p.m. in the school's stadium; in case of inclement weather, graduation ceremonies will be moved into the school's auditorium.
