Timber Ridge to welcome guest speaker on March 24

Timber Ridge Middle School's sixth grade team 6B will welcome a guest speaker from the Organization of Islamic Speakers Midwest on Friday, March 24, at 8 a.m. The speaker will give a multi-media presentation titled “Islam and Muslims in the Context of World History and Social Studies.”

The speaker will share artifacts with students to help complement their current study of ancient and world religions. Parents are encouraged to attend the event as well.

Headquartered in Naperville, the Organization of Islamic Speakers Midwest provides trained and certified Muslim speakers for educational and professional settings. The group's seminars are designed to help individuals gain a basic understanding of Muslim cultures and an understanding of diversity among Muslims.
