"Jamaican One Man Band" to visit Plainfield Central

Plainfield High School-Central Campus will get a visit from the "Jamaican One Man Band" on Thursday, February 16. Ainsworth Rose, an accomplished musician, will perform at 2:45 in the school's band room.

Rose will present a variety of music, ranging from reggae to calypso, and from soca to steel drum sounds. Rose was named the Calypso/Soca Entertainer of the Year for both 2002 and 2003.

The presentation will not only showcase a unique blend of musical backgrounds, but is also part of the school's Black History Month celebration.

Plainfield Central, one of three high schools in Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202, is located at 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive in Plainfield.
