Ira Jones to raise money for St. Jude's through Math-a-Thon
Ira Jones Middle School will hold a Math-a-Thon from March 17-April 3
to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Supporting students
participating in the event will help raise funds for the internationally
recognized hospital in its fight against childhood diseases.
Citizens and business in the school community are encouraged to support
Ira Jones students by sponsoring them in the competition. The
Math-a-Thon is sponsored by Six Flags Theme Parks, which provides a free
pass to its parks to every student who raises $35 or more through the
program.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital performs pioneering work in
finding cures for children with catastrophic diseases. Founded by the
late entertainer Danny Thomas, it freely shares its discoveries with
scientific and medical communities around the world.
Ira Jones, one of five middle schools in Plainfield Community
Consolidated School District 202, is located at 15320 Wallin Drive in
Plainfield.
