Congressman Jerry Weller visit to Plainfield South rescheduled for March 21
Congressman Jerry Weller will meet with a group of students at
Plainfield South High School on Tuesday, March 21. Weller, a Republican
who represents Illinois's 11th district, will be at the school from
9:30-10:30 a.m. The event was rescheduled from February 17.
Weller will meet with approximately 200 students for 45 minutes,
beginning at 9:30. He will respond to questions about national and state
government, as well as other issues of the day. At the end of his
session, Plainfield South Principal Dan Goggins will designate him as an
honorary Cougar.
Weller will also take a brief tour of the campus following his question
and answer session.
Weller is currently in his sixth term representing the 11th district.
He was first elected to Congress in 1994, and is a member of both the
House Ways and Means Committee and the House International Relations

Plainfield South, one of three high schools in Plainfield Community
