Author Len Bailey scheduled to visit Eagle Pointe on March 17

Eagle Pointe Elementary School will welcome children's author Len Bailey on Friday, March 17, from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

Bailey is the author of the New "Checkered Sea" series of books. His first work, "Clabbernappers," was published in 2005, and his next two books are due out soon.

Bailey will hold lunchtime book discussions with fourth and fifth graders who have read "Clabbernappers." He then will speak to all fourth and fifth grade students about the writing process and play his bagpipes as well.

Eagle Pointe, one of 14 elementary schools in Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202, is located at 24562 Norwood Drive in Plainfield.
