Meadow View parent, author to appear at school for assembly and book signing
Kevin Franz isn't just the author of the Castle Rose Adventures
series of children's books; he's also a parent of a student at
Meadow View Elementary School. Franz will visit Meadow View on Tuesday,
April 11, to do an all-school assembly at his daughter's school and
sign copies of his books.
This Castle Rose Adventures book series has thrilled readers since its
2003 debut. Blending the realism of medieval castle life with the
fantasy of magic and adventure, the lavishly illustrated Castle Rose
series delights readers with intriguing characters and involved
storylines.
The first three works in the series - "Into the Hidden Lands,"
"The Princess Sisters and the Underwater City" and "The Affaire
at the Faire" - include his children as heroines. "The Halloween
Haunting," the fourth work in the series, was recently released, and a
fifth installment is due out later in 2006.
Franz is slated to visit several classrooms from 9:15 a.m.-2:45 p.m. to
discuss the writing process. Learn more about the author and his series
