Plainfield Central celebrating National Foreign Language Week
Plainfield High School-Central Campus is in the midst of celebrating
National Foreign Language Week - "Languages: Bridges to
Communication" - on its campus. The celebration, which runs from
March 6-10, is highlighting the four foreign languages taught at the
school (French, German, Spanish and American Sign Language), while also
paying tribute to the native languages spoken by many students who are
learning English as a second language.
Students are scheduled to participate in a variety of activities as
part of National Foreign Language Week, including a poster contest,
foreign language trivia, music, food tasting and language activities.
The week promises to be fun for both students enrolled in a foreign
language class and the rest of the school's community.
Plainfield Central, one of three high schools in Plainfield Community
Consolidated School District 202, is located at 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive
in Plainfield.
