District 202 to offer online safety seminar on June 1
Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 will offer a
seminar for parents who wish to learn more about the dangers that face
their children online. The event, which will take place at 7 p.m. at the
district's Administration Center on Thursday, June 1, will be
presented by the Will County State's Attorney's Computer Crimes
Unit.
District 202 recently mailed a publication titled "Keeping Our
Children Safe" to the home of every student currently enrolled in the
district. In addition to including tips for parents to help keep their
children safe online, it also features information regarding the
television ratings system, some dangerous games children play and ways
to prevent abduction.
The Administration Center is located at 15732 Howard Street in
Plainfield, near the intersection of Renwick Road and Route 30.
