At-risk education screening to be offered at Bonnie McBeth on April 8

Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 will offer a screening to determine children's eligibility for the at-risk pre-kindergarten program on Saturday, April 8. The screenings will take place from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Bonnie McBeth Learning Center.

District 202's at-risk pre-kindergarten program is provided through a grant from the Illinois State Board of Education, and serves children who demonstrate some delays in an area of development and have certain risk factors that may impact academic success.

If District 202 continues to receive funding from the state, eligible 3-and 4-year-old children will participate in an educational program at Bonnie McBeth, at no cost, for 4 ½ days per week during the 2006-07 school year.

Proof of residency must be provided at the time of screening. Screenings will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

Bonnie McBeth, the preschool program for District 202, is located at 15730 Howard Street in Plainfield.
