District 202 invited to participate in K-12 Ed Tech Summit in November
Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 has been invited
to take part in the K-12 Ed Tech Summit, which will be held on November
6-7, 2006, in Fort Worth, Texas. District 202 is one of only two school
districts in Illinois invited to attend the conference, joining Chicago
Public Schools.
The K-12 Ed Tech Summit offers attendees the opportunity to meet and
network with peers in a unique setting. It will give administrators
information necessary to adapt to today's evolving education
environment and ways to maximize new learning opportunities for students
through enhancement of traditional classroom instruction. The summit
will include keynote presentations, panel discussions and one-on-one
meetings.
District 202 Director of Instructional Technology Linda Casey will
represent the district at the event. District 202 was one of many
Illinois school districts serving large populations that answered
questions via a phone interview to "apply" to attend.
Casey intends to share the information gained from attending the
seminar with fellow district office personnel, as well as for staff
development purposes throughout the district.
For more information, contact Casey at (815) 577-4017.
