Timber Ridge Literacy fair slated for April 25
In an effort to promote literacy in the school and its surrounding
community, Timber Ridge Middle School will host a Literacy Fair on
Tuesday, April 25, from 5-7 p.m. A variety of activities will be
available for attendants of all ages.
The night will include free popcorn, compliments of the school's
Parent-Teacher Organization, and raffles for free items. Attractions
will include a book swap, a book walk with prizes, a dramatic excerpt
from "Annie" (playing at Timber Ridge this month), a book fair
sponsored by Teams 7/8C, and "The Uncoffeehouse," which will
highlight student poetry.
Additionally, chess and sudoku tournaments will be held, roaming
minstrels will perform musical selections, and there will be an
opportunity to learn sign language.
Timber Ridge, one of five middle schools in Plainfield Community
Consolidated School District 202, is located at 2101 Bronk Road in
Plainfield.
