Two Plainfield Central teachers to be honored at WGKTC Awards Dinner
A pair of Plainfield High School-Central Campus English teachers will
be honored by Joliet's Professional Development Alliance at the
Will-Grundy-Kendall Technology Coordinators Awards Dinner on Thursday,
May 18. English department chair Erik Borne and teacher Kate Olmsted
will receive the Certificate of Merit for Technology from the Regional
Office of Education.
Borne and Olmsted will be honored for their poetry Web page project.
The awards dinner recognizes technology integration and outstanding
examples of the positive impact of technology on student learning in
Will, Kendall and Grundy Counties. The awards dinner will be held from
5-7 p.m. at the Professional Development Alliance in Joliet.
Plainfield Central, one of three high schools in Plainfield Community
Consolidated School District 202, is located at 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive
in Plainfield.
