District 202 art students honored at Joliet Junior College exhibition
Selected art students from all three Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 are currently having their work featured at the Joliet Junior College Area High School Art Exhibition. Pieces will be on display at the Laura A. Sprague Gallery on the Joliet Junior College campus from Nov. 13-30.
The following students had work submitted by their schools' art teachers:
Plainfield High School-Central Campus: seniors LeAnn Ernest (Water Color), Jennifer Misewicz (Pastel), Max Shepard (Pastel) and Amber Swallows (Acrylic)
Plainfield North High School: juniors Natalie Henry (Drawing), Daniel Pruss (Digital Image) and Taylor Travalik (Painting) and freshman Devin Law (Drawing)
Plainfield South High School: juniors Leah Guadagnoli (Mixed Media), Kira Walker (Digital Image) and Zager Wordlaw (Digital Image) and sophomore Lauren Bonano (Drawing)
Each school had individuals receive "Award of Excellence" honors. Included among the honorees were Plainfield Central's Ernest and Misewicz, Plainfield North's Pruss and Travalik, and Plainfield South's Bonano and Walker. Award winners will be presented with their honors at an Awards Night banquet on November 30 at Joliet Junior College.
Area high schools were allowed to submit four pieces to the exhibition, and the Joliet Junior College Studio Art faculty is responsible for the distribution of all awards.
