Petitions forms for upcoming District 202 Board seats available soon

Nominating petition forms for the April 17, 2007 School Board election for Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 will be available beginning Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at the District 202 Administration Center, which is located at 15732 Howard Street in Plainfield. Petition forms will be available for pick-up between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Completed petitions must be filed at the Administration Center during the period from January 29, 2007 - February 5, 2007. Three seats on the seven-member Board of Education will be filled at the election on April 17. The selected candidates will serve four-year terms that expire in April 2011.

An eligible candidate must be a U.S. citizen, a registered voter, at least 18 years of age on the date of the election, and a resident of the state and District 202 for one year prior to the election. The District School Board election is non-partisan, and candidates do not run under political party affiliation.
