Plainfield North play will take you back to "Kindergarten"

Plainfield North High School will put on its fall play this weekend, and it will take its audience back to a simpler era, which included nap time and recess. "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" will play on the Plainfield North auditorium stage from November 3-5.

"Kindergarten" is based on Robert Fulghum's best-selling novel, which dominated the New York Times Bestseller list for all of 1989 and much of 1990. He updated the book for a 15th Anniversary edition in 2004. The play is comprised of a series of short scenes and reminds its audience that the most basic aspects of life bear its most important opportunities. Most of those happen at a kindergartner's age.

The curtain will go up at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4, and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 5. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to showtime. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for Plainfield School District 202 staff members and students.

Plainfield North is one of three high schools in Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202, and is located at 12005 S. 248th Street in Plainfield.

For more information, contact play director Andrea Bozinovich at (815) 609-8506. Tickets may be purchased by calling the same number.
