Walker's Grove receives live-saving device from local National City branch
Walker's Grove Elementary School received a generous gift from one of its neighbors at the school's Parent-Teacher Organization meeting on Tuesday, August 15. The Plainfield National City Bank branch, which is located across the street from the school, donated an automated external defibrillator (AED) to the school. The device is valued at approximately $2,000.
The State of Illinois mandates that each school have a heart defibrillator on site. The donation by National City means that Walker's Grove will have a vital, live-saving device on its campus without having to use funds that may have been budgeted for other needs. |
