Eagle Pointe Principal to raise money for St. Jude’s at Chicago Marathon

Eagle Pointe Principal Scott Fink will participate in the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 22, and will do so as a “St. Jude Hero” who raises money for one of the world’s premier centers in dealing with catastrophic illnesses in children.

Located in Memphis, Tenn., St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital depends primarily on public support to care for more than 4,700 young patients who are battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The organization does not turn away any family based on its inability to pay for treatment.

Fink, an avid runner, is in his first year as Principal at Eagle Pointe, and had previously served as Assistant Principal at Drauden Point Middle School. Individuals in the community are encouraged to sponsor him as he races alongside 40,000 other runners and raises funds for St. Jude.
