M*A*S*H ready for a run on Plainfield Central stage

The parents of many Plainfield High School-Central Campus students will have the chance for a blast from the past when taking in the school's fall play. "M*A*S*H" - the famous war-time satire - will play on the Plainfield Central stage on November 10 and 11.

The show is based on the original 1968 book, "M*A*S*H: A Novel About Three Army Doctors" by Richard Hooker, and is about how the staff of a U.S. Mobile Army Surgical Hospital uses humor to maintain their sanity during the Korean War. The book was the basis of the long-running television show (1972-83) and the 1970 movie of the same title.

The shows on Friday, November 10 and Saturday, November 11 will begin at 8 p.m., with doors opening 30 minutes prior to show time. Tickets are $4.50 for adults and $4 for District 202 staff members and students, and will be available at the door.

Plainfield Central is one of three high schools in Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202, and is located at 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive in Plainfield.

For more information, contact play director Lori McCarthy at (815) 436-3200, ext. 2311.
