Plainfield South fall play set for this weekend

The auditorium at Plainfield South High School will be the setting for a mix of murder, madness and mayhem this weekend. The school will put on "The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940" from November 3-5.

Written by John Bishop, "Murders" leaves accusing fingers pointing in all directions and is a case of "who's who" and "what's what" that keeps the characters in suspense and the audience in laughter to the very end. The play enjoyed a critically acclaimed run on Broadway in 1987.

The shows on Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4 will begin at 7:30 p.m., while Sunday, November 5 matinee will start at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for senior citizens and District 202 staff members and students.

Plainfield South is one of three high schools in Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202, and is located at 7800 W. Caton Farm Road in Plainfield.

For more information, contact play director Susan Nemanich at (815) 439-5555. Tickets may be purchased by calling the same number.
