Walker’s Grove to host activities for new students on August 22

Walker's Grove Elementary School will welcome kindergarten students and their parents to the school on Tuesday, August 22, for a "Meet the Teacher"activity. Students in other grades who are new to Walker's Grove are also encouraged to visit the building that day to familiarize themselves with the school.

Students who will be attending morning kindergarten can visit the school between 4-4:45 p.m. to meet their teacher and to drop off their school supplies. Afternoon kindergarten students can do the same from 5-5:45 p.m.

New students in other grades can walk the building from 5-6 p.m. No teachers will be present during that time.

Walker's Grove is one of 14 elementary schools in Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202, and is located at 24810 W. 135th Street in Plainfield.
