Million Minutes Reading Challenge
The Family Ties wants to remind our GP families to keep READING!
We are 6 months into the Million Minutes Reading Challenge!! The Challenge runs October 1st through May 1st. It is simply this…Can GP Read A Million Minutes by the end of the school year? Each month students receive a log to record the amount of time they read each day. The forms are turned into teachers at the end of each month. **If we reach our goal and We Can, we will have a rally to end the Event and a BIG Surprise. The recommendation is to read just 20 minutes a night. But…we can reach the goal if everyone reads as little as 10
minutes a night!!
After 6 months here is how things look:
We have read 379,158 minutes. We have 620,842 minutes to go. The 2nd Grade is in 1st place with 117,895 minutes. Mrs. Kulaga's class is in 1st place with 30,202. Miss Cox’s class is in 2nd place with 27,788. Mrs. Badertscher's class is in 3rd place with 26,410 minutes read.
