Your grade will be based on the following:

50% - Studio Work/Research Projects

10% - Participation/Homework

20% - Tests and Quizes

20% - Final Exam/ Project

All work will be graded according to a point system based on the requirements of the assignment. You will receive points based on your demonstration of understanding, effort, creativity, craftsmanship, and professional presentation. The student should consider all assignments and studies of equal importance. A general rubric is discussed in depth in class.

Work can generally be defined as follows:

A (100-90%) = OUTSTANDING WORK

Directions were followed, most objectives were clearly illustrated, excellent craftsmanship, original ideas/product, mastery of techniques, shares knowledge and ideas in class discussion.

B (89-80%) = GOOD WORK:

Followed directions, many objectives were clearly illustrated, good craftsmanship, originality evident, mastery of techniques shares some ideas in discussions.

C (79-70%) = AVERAGE WORK:

D (69-60%) = BELOW AVERAGE:

Did not follow directions, concepts/goals, etc. are not illustrated, projects may be unfinished, does not share ideas, shoddy work.

F (59 and below) = did not do work or did very little to complete goals and criteria.

Have a valid reason to use a pass.  I will not give passes to use the phone, see another teacher, or go to your car. You will only use passes to go to the restroom or to the nurse.

Zeros are a last resort and students will make every effort to complete all work done in and out of class.
