English 9 Honors

Course Syllabus

            This is an advanced introductory course designed to provide students with an overview of literary genre and develop the students’ skills in composition.  Grammar study will emphasize elimination of usage and mechanics errors in composition.  Students will read selected short stories, poetry, drama, novels, and an epic.  They will also write a variety of compositions including reflective journals, paragraphs, multi-paragraph essays, and complete a research project.
