DAY 1

ACT Assessment

 

Test Components:

ACT English- 45 Minutes/75 Questions

ACT Mathematics- 60 Minutes/60 Questions

Break- 15 Minutes

ACT Reading- 35 Minutes/40Questions

ACT Science- 35 Minutes/40 Questions

 

Materials Needed:

        Brain

        2 Sharpened Pencils (at least)

        Admission Ticket (given to you ahead of time)

        Identification (Driver’s License, School ID)

        Calculator (check with your math teacher)

        Watch

        Comfortable Clothes

 

Strategies:         

                        Be Prepared (know ahead what to expect-practice!)

                        Maintain a Positive Mental Attitude

                        Practice! Practice! Practice!

                        Eat a good breakfast (one that you are accustomed to)

                        Get a good night’s sleep (but, don’t overdo it!)

                        Know the directions (select the best answer)

                        Guess-there is no penalty for wrong answers

                        Have a panic plan (what to do if you are running out of time)
