Dear Future Calculus Students:

Have no fear, Ms.Finn will come to your rescue!  Yes, Calculus is hard, no doubt about it.  It can be so confusing at times and you just want to give up, but don’t!  Sooner or later you will get it, even if it takes you the whole year to figure one subject out.  Don’t ever give up, just pay attention in class, and always have the “I can do it!” attitude.

To get through calculus I suggest you do the following:

  1. Pay attention for the whole entire class period.
  2. Don’t fall asleep.
  3. If you have a question, ask!
  4. If you need extra help, ask for it.
  5. Study hard!
  6. Don’t question math, it just is.
  7. Don’t ever give up, you can do it.

Overall, calculus will make or break you.  It’s also your senior year and you will want to slack off and not care.  You can not, I repeat, can not, slack off.  Once you slack off, don’t even think you will be able to figure it out.  Once you’re lost, you’re pretty much lost for the rest of the year.  So that is why you need to pay attention everyday.  Take notes, do your homework, ask questions, and study for quizzes and tests.  If you do all this, I am sure you will suceed in calculus.

Sincerely,

A student who survived calculus!
