Dear new calculus student,

Good Job! You’ve come pretty far if you are in calculus honors. Don’t be afraid, you can be successful in this class. I remember when I first started calc, I thought I was getting into mathematical concepts over my head, and that my teacher would speak another language. It turned out that Ms. Finn was an incredible teacher, whose easygoing style made everything possible and even unstressful. I encourage you to take the AP test—Ms. Finn does everything she can to help prepare you. I feel that I was fairly successful on this test, and I may be able to receive college credit. Taking notes is an important part of success in this class, especially when time gets tight, and it is hard to keep up with homework. Good luck. With Ms. Finn I know that you will do well.
