Dear future honors calculus students:

I was told to tell you what to expect in this class. Let me guess, you hear calculus and you think it is the hardest and scariest thing ever. Well, it really isn’t. It is actually quite easy. All I can say is pay attention to everything, take notes, and do the homework.

Always have fun too. Miss Finn is awesome. She makes this class fun. She is not like your ordinary teacher.

Also, always ask questions if you do not understand something. Miss Finn will not go on to the next section until everyone understands what is going on. I think this is the easiest math class that I have ever been in. I just understand this more than other math concepts. I think I understand more in this class because Miss Finn made this class interesting. I never dreaded coming to this class.

Do not be scared. Yes, you can take the AP test when you take this class. Miss Finn spends as much time with you so you can do well. She tells you what to expect and prepares you for any possible problems that may be on the test. You do not have to take it, but if you feel you are ready, take it. If you feel you understand it, take it. It can only get you college credit. It will not hurt to take it.

            Good luck and have fun!

Sincerely,

Vanessa
