Medical Excuses: A student will not be excused for more than two days without an excuse from a doctor. An excuse for a longer period of time must be obtained from a doctor. If a medical excuse cannot be obtained a parent should contact student’s instructor.
A student may be assigned to the Modified Physical Education section if they are unable to participate for more than a week. The modified Physical Education instructor will contact Doctor to establish program for student. Medical excuses that will result in the student missing class for the semester or year will result in that student being referred to Modified Physical Education. A written statement from the physician will be required to be submitted to student’s counselor. Modified Physical Education instructor will contact physician to establish what student may or may not do. Physician will prescribe student a program. This will be implemented by Modified Physical Education instructor..
A student who is assigned to a
physical education section and misses a class must turn in makeup work during
the prescribed time period. A student receives two days for every day absent.
Student is responsible for seeing instructor for make up work and for turning in
all make up work within prescribed period.
