Grading procedures student should
come to class prepared to participate and achieve success in Health, or Physical
Education. The vast majority of grade problems are caused when a student does
not participate, does not turn in homework, or does not dress for class. The
Physical Education Department breaks down their criteria for grades as
follows:
I. Participation=50%
of the individuals grade.
Each student may earn 10 points per day.
Participation is based upon the following

Two points for each category=10 points per day

Dressing Policy: Each student is required to wear a Plainfield Physical Education uniform.Students may wear a uniform from any Plainfield 202 elementary or middle school A student without a uniform will receive -30 points for that day. A student without a uniform due to the fact that they have lost it or it has been stolen may participate for two days with an alternate uniform without penalty. At the end of two days the student must have a new uniform. Uniforms may be purchased at the Plainfield Bookstore, which is located in the cafeteria, before school or during students lunch period. A day will be designated at the start of the year for students to purchase uniform during physical education class.

Reminder that students are given a
locker to use. They must use a school issued lock.
They may purchase a new lock for $4.75 at
Bookstore.
II. Knowledge-25% of total
grade
All students
will be responsible for an assessment on their knowledge of
subject.
This
assessment may be in the form of tests, quizzes, homework, research, or
projects.
III.Skill=25% of total
grade
All students
will receive a skill grade.
This grade will not be based upon talent but on a rubric that assess how
the individual attempts to perform the skill.
Any skill that is to be graded will have
rubric.
