Mr. Lines

US History

Rm. 121

Objective:

Students will be provided the opportunity to think critically about the events and processes that have shaped our country and government.  With a close look at the past, we can all better understand the present and the future.

Grading: Students will be graded on the total amount of points earned during the semester with the final exam counting towards 10% of the final grade.

Grading Scale:

100-90 = A

89-80 = B

79-70 = C

69-60 = D

Late Work:

The student is responsible for making up late assignments.  An assignment will not be accepted more than one day late.  The grade on any late assignment is automatically reduced by 50%.  If a student is absent he or she will be able to find the make up work in the “World” bin at the back of the room and will get three days to finish the work.

Attendance:

The student must have all absences excused before any missing assignments or exams can be made up.  You will be marked tardy if you are not in the room when the bell rings.  When it is time for me to take attendance and you are not in your seat, you will be marked tardy.  After your third tardy, you will be assigned to a BSA/ASA.

Behavior:

We will follow all of the rules stated in the student handbook. Additionally, we will make every attempt to be respectful towards differences of opinion and social background in the class. We will always have a respectful attitude towards entire class.
