Coin Drive for Tornado Victims
The students at OUR Central Elementary School are collecting donations for the victims of the tornado that struck Washington, Illinois, specifically, the families that attend CENTRAL SCHOOL in Washington, Illinois. Donations can be put into Mr. We Do Care (a cleverly disguised water bottle) that is located in the foyer of our building. Donations will be accepted until December 20th. All money will be sent to the Central School PTO in Washington , which is actually for two schools - Central Primary and Central Intermediate, and will be distributed to the affected families. Anyone who is interested in donating can drop off coins, paper money, or checks (made out to Central School PTO). (Coincidentally, one of our families recently found a school ID from a student who attends Central Intermediate School in Washington in their yard! It must have been blown here during those storms. We take that as a "sign" that we were meant to help them out!)
