Community Relations
The Community Relations Department
The Community Relations Department is dedicated to fostering two-way communication between our schools and our community. The department welcomes input from all members of our learning community on ways to enhance the valuable communications process between the District and our stakeholders.

Materials Distribution
Community Relations is responsible for approving all materials to be distributed to students and staff from external organizations, in accordance with district policy. Materials must be reviewed and approved for distribution by the director of community relations. Generally, district policy does not allow distribution of materials for any for-profit organization or event.

Education Partners Newsletter
Each week District 202 updates its community through the "District 202 Education Partners" electronic newsletter. This is the most direct source of information about what is happening in District 202. Please click here to subscribe.
Freedom of Information Act
Citizens may request information and materials from public bodies, including District 202, under the Freedom of Information Act. Please download the FOIA form and return it to District 202 Director of Community Relations Tom Hernandez by mail at 15732 Howard Street, Plainfield, 60544; or by fax at (815) 577-1067. District 202 will respond to all FOIA requests within the time allowed by law, and copies will be made for 25 cents per page, as allowed by law.

District 202 Gold Card Club
District 202 residents 62 years old and older can get a District 202 "Gold Card" which provides free admission to all student athletic events, and discounted admission to all student performances.
