Author Visit
Students were thrilled to meet Ms. Candace Fleming on Tuesday, January 24th to hear her talk about some of her popular children's books. Ms. Fleming is an acclaimed author who specializes in both young children's books and fun, historical books for kids. Ms. Fleming has a number of award-winning books to her credit including Ben Franklin's Almanac an ALA Notable Book and Muncha! Muncha! |

Muncha!, Gabriella's Song, and When Agnes Caws, all ALA Notable Books.
During her presentation, Ms. Fleming told the students how she gets the ideas for the books she writes and the process that a writer must work through in order to have a book published. Ms. Fleming graciously answered many questions concerning the creation of some of her more popular titles such as Muncha!, Muncha!, Muncha! and Gator Gumbo . Students and staff greatly enjoyed Ms. Fleming's visit! |
