2008-09 Attendance Zones

District 202 will adjust elementary, middle and high school attendance area assignments for the 2008-09 school year in conjunction with the opening of the district's 17th elementary school and 4th high school. Please review the proposed changes below.

Attendance zones must be changed when new schools open to balance enrollments, properly assign all of the nearly 29,000 students, and ensure that the entire system operates as smoothly as possible. Next year, District 202 will have 17 elementary schools, seven middle schools, four high schools, the Bonnie McBeth Learning Center for early education, and the Plainfield Academy alternative school.

District administration and the Board of Education use family-friendly parameters to minimize the impact of the resulting changes. These parameters are designed to meet both current and anticipated systemic logistical demands.
