A Message From the Eagle Pointe Reading Specialists

Dear Parents,

Welcome Back!  We are looking forward to working with you and your family this year.  We wanted to share a few of the exciting programs that we have to offer. 

POWER Readers:  POWER Readers is a flexible volunteer program for parents to help enrich literacy awareness for students in grades 1-3.  Training will be Wednesday, October 1 at 2:30 p.m. look for more information to come.

Eagle Pointe Parent Lending Library: The Lending Library offers families an opportunity to borrow books and activities that contribute to literacy awareness in children from Kindergarten through grade 5.  You can access this checkout form by visiting this link.  Materials will be sent home with the student.  If you have any questions about selecting materials, please contact your child’s teacher or one of us.

Family Literacy Night:  Save the Date!!  This year’s Family Literacy Night will be held on Thursday, November 13th .  Come see W. Nikola-Lisa an Author/Educator/Storyteller.  Parents will have the opportunity to attend literacy breakout sessions.  These sessions will provide ideas and activities that you can use when working with you child at home.  Children will participate in literacy activities while their parents are attending these sessions.  Please look for additional information in the future.
