Extracurricular Activities
Even though learning in the academic areas is the primary purpose of any school program, extra-curricular activities are also an extremely valuable area where students share accomplishments and learning experiences beyond those which occur in the classroom. A wide variety of activities are available and we strongly encourage all of our students to become involved in one or more of them.
Cooking Club
The cooking club is an opportunity for students to create fun and fantastic food dishes. All students are welcome to join, but space is limited. The club will meet in room 152 from 2:45-4:45.

Intramural Sports
Intramurals is a club that is open to ALL grade levels. We play recreational sports throughout the year, which also include tournaments. We meet twice a week; Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:45-3:30 p.m.
We will be outside in the fall and spring. In the winter we will meet in the big gym. After school, students attending Intramurals will be allowed to change clothes in the PE locker rooms. This is not required, but is allowed if a student chooses to change into more comfortable clothes. They may use their PE locker to lock their things up.
Students are welcome to come on either day; attendance is not taken. This is a chance to have fun playing sports after school. Students are dismissed to the front of the building to wait for their rides home.
Please email Ms. Simonelli if you have any questions about this club.

Student Council at Heritage Grove is an opportunity for students to work as a governing body for the school. The Executive Council is elected from all seventh and eighth grade students who care to run. We have a president, vice president and secretary. The members of the Council work on committees to set the themes for our school dances. The members of the committee also help set up for the dances.
Student council runs fund raising sales during the year to earn money for new equipment for the dances. We also have had food and clothing drives and candy sales to help the needy. We plan and run the two spirit weeks and assemblies during the year. The Council is open to all students and each home room is encouraged to send one representative to each of the meetings.
