(MTV)
Mission
& Purpose
|
The goal of the Math Tutoring
Venue is to improve student understanding and performance in all areas of
mathematics and science at Plainfield High School by providing assistance to both
students and teachers
The MTV will assist students with their daily homework, help prepare for
quizzes and tests, review previously learned lessons, and catch up on basic
math skills.

Procedures
- Students come directly
to MTV and sign in, they do not need to go to study hall first.
- Students must be in
the MTV before the bell rings. No tardies will be admitted. If full, the student will be sent back to S/H with a yellow pass.
- Students must have their ID with them to check in and a yellow pass from their subject area teacher..
- Maximum of 20 students
are allowed in the MTV during any half-period.
- Once students come to
the MTV, passes will not be issued for them to go to other locations
(locker, bathroom, office, etc.)
- Absolutely NO food or
drink is allowed in the MTV.

Student Expectations
- Students must come
prepared. The MTV does not loan out calculators, texts, or other
materials.
- Students are not
allowed to make up quizzes/tests in the MTV.
- A student will be
asked to leave the MTV if he/she is not working on math or science.
- A student will be
dismissed from the MTV for any inappropriate behavior and PHS discipline
policies, will be followed.
