Biodiversity. What are representative organisms from the kingdoms Monera. Fungi, Protista, Plantae, and Animalia; what are the distinguishing characteristics of each, and what are the major body plans exhibited in plants and animals? [Chapters 27 to 34]
This is a broad question to answer this in a reasonable amount of time do the following:
Summarize the characteristic of each of the following kingdoms, select a representative example of each and write a paragraph describing is structure, life style, and note the ecosystem(s).
Monera
Fungi
Protista
Plantae
Animalia
Then investigate the number of species of each kingdom that are known to exist. How many are there? Where is most life found? And why do many biologists believe Earth is currently facing a mass extinction due to human activity?
