A counselor does the following:

~Personal, Social/Emotional, Academic, College/Career Counseling
~Help with concerns in your classes
`Talk to you about personal issues
~Help you resolve conflicts with others
`Help you choose classes
~Give you information about future plans
~Be a helpful listener
~The go to person - the person to answer/direct questions
~Each counselor has around 300 sudents each!

• Aspirations of earning my type 75 certificate

I grew up in Wisconsin - Go Packers! Then I moved to Florida during second grade. Then I moved to Illinois during my junior year in high school. So I feel like I have a good grasp on helping sudents adjust to change! I graduated from ISU and worked in marketing for 5 years. I went back to school at Lewis University to get my Master's Degree. Now I am at Plainfield High School - Central Camus! I am very excited to work with the students, parents, and staff!

In my spare time I work with Chevrolet promoting their vehicles around the Chicagoland and Milwakee areas. I started running in races last year. The Shamrock Shuffle (8k) was the most fun and exciting race I have participated in. Every year for the past three years I have participated in the Americn Cancer Society Relay for Life. I participate at the Lake Zurich location with my friends from high school. Cubs games are the best place to be in the summer. I also like to travel to tropical places! Currently I reside in Joliet with my husband Mike who is a 3rd grade teacher and freshman basketball coach in Oswego.
