Splits: 67-76-76-75-75-75-74-66 Mile splits: 4:55 - 4:52 Three guys ran 4x4 PRs ... Freshman Kevin Capodice (54.7), Sophomore Adam Eichelberger (54.2), and Junior Lorenzo Diaz (54.9). Our 4x1 would have won if not for a botched 3rd exchange. Our time would have been in the 43.5 range. Jacob Arnold ran an incredible anchor leg in the 4x2 running down excellent runners from Chicago Mt. Carmel and West Aurora. Jake made up a six-meter deficit. Jake's 100 time of 10.8 was misleading. He was last out of the blocks and behind 3 meters at the 10 meter mark. With a good start, 10.6 would have been his time (the wind was blowing cross-ways). Jake's 22.2 in the finals of the 200 was pretty good considering the race was his EIGHTH of the day. Former Olympic Champion, Michael Conley (Luther South), still holds the Long Jump and Triple Jump records at the Kaneland Invitational. Conley's son was the starting point guard at Ohio State in this year. http://www.usatf.org/athletes/bios/oldBios/1997/conley.asp Legendary Gail Olson still holds the high jump record (7-0 in 1978).. http://www.trackandfieldnews.com/lists/all_time/prepin_at_m.html We beat 12 teams today. So far this season, we have beaten 16 teams, lost to 6. Next meet ... Minooka at home Tuesday (4:30). Plainfield Central Hunt Invitational Friday. |
